Rodgersia aesculifolia is a striking Chinese perennial, bearing long, bronze-tinted leaves with brown veins, above which spikes of star-shaped, white or pink flowers appeae in midsummer. It's ideal for growing at pond or stream margins in a sheltered, shady spot, and makes a great planting partner for ferns.
In autumn the creamy white to creamy pink flowers of Rodgersia aesculifolia develop into reddish seedheads have a reddish tint in autumn. The Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) has give it the prestigious Award of Garden Merit (AGM).
