BBC Gardeners' World Magazine podcast - Episode 1

Monty Don shares with us how gardening has helped his mental and physical wellbeing throughout his life – that gets him through his darkest days and brings poetry to the happiest times. He reveals how he and Sarah tried to bring a bit of gardening and nature into the glitzy world of 1980s fashion, through their jewellery business, and how when the crash came, it was their garden that saved him. Plus, Monty shares what he’s learning as he gets older – and why the recent take-up in gardening gives him real hope for the future.
